Welcome to the Omaha Karma Kagyu Study Group

The Omaha Karma Kagyu Study Group meets every Saturday morning from 10am until noon. We also meet one Thursday every month from 7pm to 9pm.

Our meetings serve as a support for meditation and also to broaden our understanding of the buddhist path. By integrating both study and meditation it better allows us to understand ideas and teachings presented by visiting teachers.

The Omaha K.K.S.G. is fortunate in that we receive visits from lamas a few times a year. (See Calendar) They help us gain confidence in our spiritual practice, and provide us with assistance as needed.

Each week's study session is "self-contained", and allows everyone the chance to ask questions or participate in discussion.

You do not have to be "Buddhist", or plan on becoming Buddhist to attend. Just hold a sincere wish to gain understanding of Tibetan Buddhism.

There are no fees or requirements. Basic meditation instruction is available at no cost.
